There are different courses that an aspiring teacher can opt for, which will qualify him or her to a teaching job. The most popular of them is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
What is B.Ed?
B.Ed. is a postgraduate academic degree which prepares students to work as a teacher in schools. Usually, in India a student with a bachelor’s degree can opt for a B.Ed. course but in some countries, additional work has to be done in order for the student to be fully qualified to teach.
What is Common Entrance Test (CET)?
CET is an entrance test conducted across India to select the candidates who are eligible to take up the B.Ed. course. The exam takes place in different states.
Educational qualification for candidates who have never taught before A candidate should have a graduation degree or a Post-Graduation degree from a recognized university. The candidates belonging to general category have to ensure that they have a minimum of 50 percent marks.
For candidates with teaching experience.
the candidate must have completed a service of 2 years and has to produce an experience certificate citing the same. When we say 2 years’ service, it must be full-time service in a reputed school.
